Kargil war veteran attacked with iron rod by parking staff in Gurugram, received death threats
A Kargil War veteran suffered serious head injuries and a fractured elbow after a parking attendant at Magnum Global Park in Gurugram allegedly attacked him with an iron rod. The accused also allegedly threatened to kill him, according to a police complaint filed by retired Group Captain Amit Kumar Gupta.
Gupta, who was part of the Indian Air Force’s Operation Safed Sagar during the 1999 Kargil War, has also alleged that the police failed to assist him and that the hospital prepared an incorrect medical report.
Gupta has sought strict action against the accused and demanded that an FIR be registered for attempted murder and causing grievous hurt. Read complete news here
Caught on camera: Car hits woman biker, drags her vehicle for metres on Gurugram road
A video showing a woman biker being knocked off her motorcycle by a car on a Gurugram road has gone viral on social media, with the rider alleging that the vehicle had been following and trying to confront her before the crash.
The incident reportedly took place on Sunday on Golf Course Road, where the woman, identified online as Sia, was riding her Aprilia RS 457 along with members of her biking group.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Sia said the occupants of a car began behaving aggressively while she was riding. She alleged that the car repeatedly tried to come close to her and that the people inside asked her to stop.
Sia claimed she kept riding to avoid being blocked and also asked the occupants to maintain a safe distance. According to her account, she suspected that the men inside the car were drunk.
The incident was captured on an action camera fitted to Sia's motorcycle. Read complete news here
