    5 National Highways remain blocked in Himachal

    Five National Highways are blocked. National Highway 5 (NH 5) in District Kinnaur at Sakiba and Spilo has a block. In District Mandi, National Highway 3 Mandi to Kullu, District Lahaul Spiti has a block. National Highway 505 from Gramphu to Losar in the Lahaul-Split district, and District Kullu has a block. There is a roadblock due to a heavy landslide in Mandi. While in District Sirmaur, National Highway 707 is blocked due to a landslide near Shilai.

Weather Updates:  The national capital continued to witness a flood-like situation on in several low-lying areas near the Yamuna following heavy rainfall and spate in the river for the past few days.

Yamuna River is decreasing in Delhi as it was recorded at 208.42 meters. 


India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that Delhi will likely receive light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms for the next 4-5 days.

Himachal Pradesh

Torrential rains in Himachal Pradesh battered the situation in several states and triggered landslides and flash floods. 

Among all the affected states, Himachal Pradesh remains the hardest hit, with 91 reported deaths in the state.

Over 1000 roads in the Himachal are still closed, and more than 5000 water supply schemes have been damaged.

The continuous rain has triggered flash floods and landslides, resulting in significant destruction across Himachal Pradesh 

Punjab

The relentless rains also caused destruction and deaths in Punjab and hindered normal life of Punjab. Some areas in Punjab including in Patiala and Sangrur have witnessed flood-like situation due to heavy rainfall.
