Weather update: A deep depression over northeast Madhya Pradesh and a low-pressure area over West Rajasthan may cause rainfall in several states on Sunday, including Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

As of 11.30 p.m., the deep depression was located 50 kilometres north-northeast of Satna, 80 kilometres northwest of Sidhi, and 130 kilometres east of Khajuraho. It was moving west-northwest at a speed of 30 kilometres per hour. The system is predicted to continue moving west-northwest, gradually weakening into a depression over the next 24 hours when it passes over north Madhya Pradesh and bordering Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure system that was earlier located over southwest Rajasthan is moving westward. According to the most recent update, this low-pressure system is centred over West Rajasthan and stretches into Pakistan. The IMD forecast that this system would continue to move westward for the following 12 hours, influencing meteorological conditions in these areas.

Jharkhand, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh are projected to receive light to moderate rainfall in most areas, with heavy rainfall in isolated areas on August 4.

Heavy to very heavy, and even extremely severe rainfall is forecast in isolated areas of East Madhya Pradesh. West Madhya Pradesh is expected to experience heavy to very heavy and extremely heavy rainfall on August 4, with additional heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated areas on August 5.
