PTC News Desk: A video of 60-year old woman proving her innocence in court is doing rounds on the social media. Mamata Pathak who is accused of killing her husband presented a startling defence argument during court hearing to prove that she didn't kill her husband.


The video has taken the internet by surprise leaving netizens in splits. Mamata Pathak has been accused of murdering her husband by electrocuting him presented her argument explaining a complex process through her knowledge of teaching Chemistry for years.

"You are accused of murdering your husband by electrocution. What do you have to say about the post-mortem's findings?" a Madhya Pradesh High Court judge asked a woman. 

In response Mamta rejected the post-mortem report while maintaining that it is not possible in post mortem room, to differentiate between thermal burn marks and electric burn marks. 

"In the post-mortem room, it is not possible to differentiate between thermal burns and electric burn marks. When current flows, volatilisation of atoms... particles of the metal get deposited in the tissue. When it goes to the lab, they remove the burn mark, separate the particles, and dissolve them with chemicals to determine whether..."

The judge then interjects, asking, "Are you a Chemistry professor?" She replies, "Yes." This revelation visibly stuns Justice Vivek Agarwal.

The video has taken internet by storm leaving netizens surprised with some userss commenting , "This looks like a bollywood movie." While other wrote, "Breaking Bad Moment".

Reportedly, Mamata Pathak has been accused of killing her husband, Neeraj Pathak, retired government doctor by giving him a heavy dose of sleeping pills before allegedly electrocuting him after discovering his extramarital affair.

According to the police chargesheet, Mamata confessed during interrogation that she administered an overdose of sleeping pills and later inflicted electric shocks on her husband on the night of 29 April 2021.
