The Punjab Police on Wednesday termed as baseless all allegations with regard to a clean chit to Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim and others in the 2015 Bargara sacrilege case. The statement came amid reports referring to Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota, who has been given additional charge of Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) that he gave a clean chit to Gurmeet Ram Rahim while heading an SIT to investigate the Bargari sacrilege case in 2015.
