PM Narendra Modi speaks to Parkash Singh Badal, enquires about his health
Chandigarh, January 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke to five-time Punjab Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal patron Parkash Singh Badal, who tested positive for Covid-19, enquiring about his health.
Parkash Singh Badal had tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patron was admitted to DMC Hospital in Ludhiana.

Meanwhile, Parkash Singh Badal's son and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal met his father at the hospital in the evening. "He is fine and his treatment is going on," he said.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "Visited DMCH Ludhiana to enquire about Badal Sahib’s health. Spoke to him on a video call. Felt good to see him in high spirits by the grace of Guru Sahib. I'm flooded with calls from his well-wishers. He is doing well, thanks to all your prayers."
On the other hand, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh wished him a speedy recovery. Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "Wishing a speedy recovery to former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who has tested Covid-19 positive."
