PTC Web Desk: The swearing-in of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister has been rescheduled for June 12, according to The Times of India. The ceremony was originally scheduled for June 9 but was postponed to accommodate Narendra Modi and the NDA cabinet's swearing-in on June 8.

According to the report, the TDP is preparing a grand event in Amaravati, which Modi and other senior NDA leaders are expected to attend. Naidu, who attended an NDA partners' meeting at Modi's residence, is expected to postpone his oath-taking to attend Modi's ceremony. He will return to Delhi on June 7 for another NDA meeting, during which the Union Cabinet is expected to be finalised, allowing the ministers to be sworn in on June 8.

Naidu's swearing-in ceremony will take place in Amaravati, which is significant to him. During his first term as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, which was divided in 2014, Naidu aimed to transform Amaravati into a futuristic capital. However, his successor, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, halted these plans and proposed a 'three-capitals' system instead. Despite this, Naidu remains determined to make Amaravati the state capital.
