Mallikarjun Kharge seeks ban on RSS, says BJP and RSS 'responsible for law and order issues'
PTC Web Desk: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has once again demanded a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), holding it and the BJP responsible for the current law and order situation in the country.
Kharge said, "If Prime Minister Narendra Modi truly respects the views of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he should take action against the RSS."
“These are my personal views, and I openly say that there should be a ban on the RSS. If the Prime Minister respects the views of Sardar Patel, he should do this. All the law and order issues in the country are due to the BJP and RSS,” Kharge said.
Speaking about Sardar Patel, Kharge said both Patel and Indira Gandhi made every effort to keep India united. He also recalled Patel’s letter to Syama Prasad Mookerji, in which Patel said after Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination, the RSS had rejoiced, leaving him with no choice but to impose a ban on the organisation.
“Patel wrote that the way RSS members celebrated Gandhi's death, there was no option but to ban them. Their speeches were full of hatred, and they even distributed sweets after Gandhi’s assassination,” Kharge said.
