Amritsar blasts: Explosions point to deep-rooted conspiracy; will divulge more details soon: Punjab DGP
PTC News Desk: While addressing the press conference in Amritsar, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the deep-rooted conspiracy of low-intensity explosions near Amritsar’s Golden Temple solved.
Five persons have been arrested in the case so far- Azadvir Singh, Amreek Singh, Sahib Singh, Harjeet Singh and Dharmendra Singh. Of them, three were involved in the sourcing of the explosives. One woman is also being questioned.

He informed that Azadvir Singh & Amreek Singh are the main conspirators in case.The explosive material was recovered from Azadvir Singh who along with Amreek Singh had assembled the IED in the washroom of Guru Ram Das Sarai near the Golden Temple. The accused Sahib Singh had a license of making explosive substances.
As per the statement by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, Sahib Singh provided the explosive substance to Azadvir Singh after that Azadvir Singh and Amreek Singh carried out the incident.

SIT to be formed to investigate deep-rooted conspiracy
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav further said that Special Investigation Team (SIT) to be formed to investigate into the low-intensity explosions near Amritsar’s Golden Temple.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav further added that a special forensic team, technical and scientific team will be appointed to investigate three blast in Amritsar.
Punjab DGP also thanked SGPC for cooperation and helping Punjab Police in solving the case
Three blasts near Amritsar’s Golden Temple
The first blast took place on May 6 on Heritage Street, near the Golden Temple in which one person was injured and the glass facades of some buildings in the area were damaged in the blast. The IED was assembled in the washroom of Golden Temple.
The second low-intensity blast on the same street on the morning of May 7 injured one more person.
The third blast which took place today i.e. on May 11 took place behind Guru Ram Das Sarai, Golden Temple
