Amritsar police nabs three suspects in connection with Fatehgarh blast after brief chase
PTC News Desk: The Amritsar police has claimed of arresting three suspects in connection with the blast outside the non-functional Fatehgarh police post. After the police made arrests, the suspects attempted to escape custody and snatched pistol of ASI Gurjit Singh prompting a brief encounter injuring two accused.
The incident occurred around 11 pm near the Rajasansi area. The police also recovered an AK 47 rifle, a .30-bore Glock pistol and a .32-bore pistol from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Lovepreet Singh, Karandeep Singh and Buta Singh, all the residents of Amritsar.
The chase followed after the police had received tip-off about presence of three suspects towards the Rajasansi area. Subsequently, police swung into action and made the arrests. During the retaliatory firing when the suspects attempted to escape, two of them Karandeep and Buta Singh were injured.
Reportedly, the trio was part of the terror module of gangster-turned-terrorist Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Passian.
