Celebrations turn tragic as bride dies of heart attack a day before wedding in Punjab's Faridkot
PTC News Desk: In a tragic incident, a young woman died of heart attack a day before her marriage in Bargari village of Faridkot district, leaving her family grieving inconsolably. The wedding celebrations were marred by tragic incident as the wedding preparation turned into tragic funeral processions.
The deceased woman, Pooja's funeral procession was carried out while she was donned in her bridal outfit.
According to reports, Pooja, was engaged to a man from the nearby village of Rauke, who lived in Dubai. Their engagement had taken place over a video call between the two families, though the couple had never met in person. The groom had returned from Dubai just a few days before the wedding, and both families had begun the celebrations and preparations with great enthusiasm.
A day before the wedding, during the jago ceremony (a pre-wedding night of singing and dancing), Pooja celebrated happily with her relatives. However, around 2 a.m. that night, she suddenly began bleeding from her nose. She was rushed to the doctor, who declared her dead on arrival. The entire village has since been engulfed in grief.
The girl’s father and the groom’s brother said both families were overjoyed about the match and had completed all arrangements for the wedding. But just a night before the baraat (wedding procession) was to arrive, Pooja suffered a heart attack, which tragically claimed her life.
