Bomb threat email targets Army stations, Army school in Pathankot ahead of August 15; security on high alert
PTC Web Desk: The Pathankot Municipal Corporation has received a threatening email claiming that Army stations, an Army school and other locations in the city could be targeted with bombs on August 15. The threat has raised security concerns in Pathankot, where security agencies are examining the email and verifying the claims.
According to information available with the security agencies, the email allegedly warned of bomb attacks at multiple locations in Pathankot at specified times.
The message reportedly named the Municipal Corporation commissioner’s office, Pathankot Army School and an Army station or cantonment area as possible targets.

According to the details of the email, the commissioner’s office was allegedly threatened with an attack at 3:11 pm, while the Pathankot Army School was mentioned for 1:11 pm. The email also allegedly threatened an Army station/cantonment area at around 9:11 pm, with the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The message reportedly warned Army personnel to take steps to protect their families and leave Army stations and cantonment areas.
Security agencies investigate threat
The threatening email was reportedly sent from an email address identified by authorities as fabibows16@gmail.com. Security agencies are looking into the source and credibility of the message.
The email allegedly claimed that attacks could take place on August 15 and further warned of possible bomb blasts targeting Army stations and schools during 2026-27.
Authorities are expected to carry out necessary security checks at the locations mentioned in the email as part of the investigation.
The latest incident comes amid a series of threatening emails reportedly being sent to schools and government offices at different places in Punjab. Such messages have prompted security agencies and local authorities to remain alert and verify every threat.
