PTC News Desk: The controversies over Diljit's concerts in Punjab doesn't seem to take a back seat anytime soon. Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh's Ludhiana concert has been marred by legal action following a complaint by Punditrao Dharenavar.

An assistant professor from Chandigarh, expressed grave concerns over the songs sung by Diljit Dosanjh and their implications on young audience and children. Dhanewar's concerns prompted. the Deputy Director of the Women and Child Department, Government of Punjab, to issue a formal notice to Ludhiana's District Commissioner, urging them to prevent the singer from performing certain songs during his live show on December 31, 2024.

The notice specifically addressed called for ban on songs such which are promoting alcohol like, Patiala Pegg', '5 Tara Theke', and 'Case (Jeeb Vicho Feem Labbiya)'. The notice also cautioned Singer against tweaking lyrics.

Dharenavar further criticised Diljit for performing such songs while wearing turban asserting that the traditional headgear should not be associated with negative actions. The matter further escalated as he cited Punjab and Haryana High court's ruling from 2019 which ordered the police to ensure that no songs promoting alcohol, drugs, or violence are played at public events, including live concerts.

In his complaint Punditrao also warned of escalating the matter to Punjab and Haryana High Court if similar incident happens again.

Diljit Dosanjh performed grand finale of his Dil-luminati tour in Ludhiana on December 31. The Ludhiana concert was last minute added to the schedule in a surprise for his fans. Earlier the last leg of the concert was scheduled for December 29 in Guwahati.
