Farmers announce march towards Punjab Vidhan Sabha on March 26 to intensify protest
PTC News Desk: The farmers protest in Punjab continues to snowball after the meeting between farmers and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann remained inconclusive.
In order to press their demands against government the farmers have decided to intensify their agitation. Farmers have announced a march towards the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on March 26, the same day Punjab government is slated to present the budget. Farmer union have given a call to gather at Sector 34 exhibition ground in Chandigarh after which they will proceed towards Vidhan Sabha on foot.
Farmers' organizations have planned to launch a large-scale awareness campaign surrounding demands of farmers across Punjab. Pamphlets will be distributed in different districts in order to connect people with the movement and attract large crowd.
Besides, Kisan Mahapanchayat will also be organised in Barnala, Amritsar and Jalandhar to discuss the future strategy. Adding further, farmers have also emphasised that they are fully prepared to give a befitting reply to the government.
