Farmers started a sit-in on railway tracks at Rajpura Shambhu Station from 7 am, disrupting rail services. Farmer leaders flayed the government for ignoring their demands despite worsening health conditions of Jagjit Singh Dallewal. Harpreet Singh (BKU Behraam), Sukhwinder Kaur (BKU Krantiikari), and Yuvraj Singh (BKU Azad) warned of escalating the agitation if the government remains unresponsive.

Farmers Punjab Bandh LIVE UPDATES: Amid ongoing protest at Khanauri border, farmers have called for Punjab Bandh from 7 am to 4 pm today. Rail movement and road traffic is likely to remain disrupted. However, emergency services will remain operational throughout.
In solidarity with the farmers; protest, the Punjab Roadways Bus and PRTC Contract Workers' Union has announced their decision to support the ongoing farmers' protest by staging a four-hour strike on December 30 as part of Punjab Bandh. The strike will take place from 10 am to 2 pm.
