Farmers Punjab Bandh LIVE UPDATES: Amid ongoing protest at Khanauri border, farmers have called for Punjab Bandh from 7 am to 4 pm today. Rail movement and road traffic is likely to remain disrupted. However, emergency services will remain operational throughout. 

In solidarity with the farmers; protest,  the Punjab Roadways Bus and PRTC Contract Workers' Union has announced their decision to support the ongoing farmers' protest by staging a four-hour strike on December 30 as part of Punjab Bandh. The strike will take place from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Punjab Bandh has been called by farmers to press their demands on Centre subsequently after multiple attempts  have been made to enter Delhi on foot which were foiled by Haryana police. Farmer leader jagjit Singh Dallewal is sitting on fast unto death since November 26 causing his health to consistently deteriorate as he has been on no food for more than a month.
