Former Punjab CM Charanjit returns to India; likely to attend Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra'
Mohali, December 19: After almost a year, former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has returned from abroad. His pictures of meeting Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi in New Delhi have surfaced.
Charanjit Singh Channi, is however, yet to return to Punjab. Sources said the former Chief Minister might have returned to participate in the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' of Rahul Gandhi that will reach the state in the second week of January.

The sources said it was most likely that the Punjab Vigilance would question him in the illegal mining case involving his nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey.

After losing the Punjab Assembly elections earlier this year, Charanjit Singh Channi left for abroad. He lost on both Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur Assembly seats.
