PTC News Desk: The chilling murder of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria's mother in Punjab's Batala district has sent shockwaves across the state with the gang rivalries expected to turn more ugly in the state. The incident has been caught on CCTV.
The residents of Punjab woke up to the news of brutal killing of notorious gangster's mother. Notably this is the first time that a family member of the gang has been targeted by a member of the rival gang. The incident has undoubtedly raised significant questions on the law and order situation of the state.
As the incident came to the fore, a social media post went viral in which Jaggu Bhagwanpuria's rival gang Davinder Bambiha group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The latest incident has also raised five pivotal questions which could alter Punjab's landscape in the coming years or the least can be said in the coming years.

Jagdeep Singh alias Jaggu Bhagwanpuria's mother who was shot dead in Punjab's Batala on late Thursday night. As the incident came to light, it has sent chills down the spine across the state as this is the first time that a family member of any gang has been killed by the member of rival gang which signals even a bigger gangwar which is noe brewing and expected to engulf the state.

Jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria's mother's killing has once again raised eyebrows on the fact that how did inter gang rivalry swept the family members. The incdent which decisively involved the emotional factor in itself puts the system in jeopardy.
Who was the target ?
An account named ‘Gopi Ghanshyampuria’ claimed responsibility on behalf of the Davinder Bambiha gang. The account said that the intended target of the attack was the relative accompanying Harjit Kaur, Karanveer Singh, who they said ran the operations for the Bhagwanpuria gang.
Real challenge for Punjab police?
With the constantly deteriorating law and order situation of the state, the latest incident now poses even bigger challenge for the authorities. The significant challenge for the law enforcemnt authorities would be to hold the shooters accountable and dismantle the crime syndicate spanned across abroad. Besides the authorities will be bound to closely monitor the situation to avert any bigger incident that could further put the entire state in jeopardy.

The anti-gangster task force constituted by the Punjab government has drawn massive backlash amid the latest incident indicating the department's inefficiency to avert such incident sending a wave of fear amongst the residents. The CCTV footage which captured the incident clearly shows that multiple rounds were fired with advanced pistols and modern weapons were used to execute the shooting which again raises questions about their ingression into the state.
