Punjab: BSF recovers five bottles filled with suspected heroin from Amritsar

PTC News Desk: The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled another nefarious attempt of smugglers and recovered five bottles filled with suspected contraband item Heroin Gross wt - appx 2.630 kg from Amritsar district. 

The suspected narcotic was recovered from the farming field of  Ranian village in Punjab’s Amritsar.

Notably, on Wednesday evening, Border Security Force troops launched the search operation on the outskirts if Ranian village of Amritsar district on receiving the specific information regarding presence of consignment of contraband items dropped by drone. 

During the search operation at around 18:10 pm on Wednesday evening, troops recovered one   red coloured polythene containing five plastic bottles filled with narcotics items suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt - appx 2.630 kg), attached with a nylon hook , in a farming field of Ranian village. 

BSF Punjab Frontier also took to their official Twitter handle and wrote, “Recovery of Heroin, On specific intelligence input, @BSF_Punjab troops recovered 05 plastic bottles filled with suspected heroin (Appx 2.630 Kgs) dropped by a Pakistani drone near Village - Ranian, District- Amritsar, Punjab."

Vigilant troops of BSF once again recovered the nefarious design of smugglers.
