Punjab Covid update: First coronavirus case reported in Ferozepur as Ambala resident tests positive
PTC Web Desk: Punjab's first confirmed case of Covid-19 has been reported in Ferozepur district, putting the local health department on high alert. According to officials, a man from Ambala, currently employed at a private company in Gurugram, tested positive for the virus after visiting his father in Ferozepur. His father is an employee with the Indian Railways.
The health department has placed the patient under home isolation and initiated appropriate medical treatment. Officials have assured the public that there is no need to panic but emphasised the importance of vigilance and preventive measures.
Efforts are currently underway to trace all individuals who may have come into contact with the patient. Each of them will undergo testing and be monitored as per established protocols.
