Punjab govt transfers 10 senior police officers in major reshuffle; Patiala SSP Nanak Singh also shifted

PTC Web Desk: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has transferred 10 senior police officers across the state. As part of this move, Varun Sharma has been appointed the new SSP of Patiala, replacing Nanak Singh, who will now take charge as DIG of Patiala Range.

Former Vigilance Chief Varinder Kumar, who was recently removed from the position, has been reassigned as Special DGP, Punjab State Human Rights Commission. In another key appointment, RK Jaiswal has been posted as ADGP NRI Affairs.


Additionally, Kuldeep Singh Chahal has been given the responsibility of DIG Technical Services, while Praveen Kumar will now serve as ADGP Intelligence Punjab, along with holding additional charge of the Vigilance Bureau.
