Amritsar, December 18: BSF (Border Security Force) troops on Sunday opened fire at Pakistani drone spotted in Gurdaspur and forced it to return towards the direction it was coming in from .

The drone reportedly entered Indian territory and was sighted at an altitude of around 250 meters in the area of the BSF's Chandu Wadala border crossing in the Gurdaspur sector. BSF personnel first fired flares and then up to 40 rounds to drive the Pakistani drone back. A search operation is performed to find smuggled goods, if any were dropped during the infringement.
