Punjab Police arrest 3 members of Babbar Khalsa International; thwart possible target killings
PTC News Desk: Punjab police thwarted a potential threat of target killings and apprehended three members of a terror module backed by Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), according to a press release.
According to the press release, the module is run by Harpreet Singh alias Happy, a close confidant of designated terrorist Harwinder Singh alias Rinda, and his two USA associates, Harbeer Singh and Navroop Singh.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that police teams from Amritsar Rural, Commissionerate Amritsar, and SSOC Amritsar acted on intelligence and set up a special Naka in the Ajnala area, leading to the trio's arrest. Two .32 bore pistols, three magazines, 11 live rounds, a Maruti Swift car (PB46AD6236), and a Splendor motorcycle were seized.
According to the official announcement, the apprehended have been identified as as Jaswinder Singh, Lovepreet Singh, and Gurpartap Singh, all of them are residents of Amritsar's village Ramdas.
Satinder Singh, SSP Amritsar Rural, stated that preliminary investigations indicated that Harpreet Happy was involved in radicalizing and motivating youth in the state to engage in anti-national activities.
According to the official release, the police have invoked sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and further investigations are underway.
