Punjab: Sidhu Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh takes voluntary retirement from fire brigade dept
Mansa, February 22: Slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh has taken voluntary retirement from his job. He had been working as a driver with the fire brigade department, Mansa Nagar Council. He wrote a letter to Mansa EO for voluntary retirement, which has been approved.
Executive officer of Mansa Nagar Council Tarun Kumar said the council had accepted Balkaur's Singh's request for voluntary retirement. He had been posted as a driver in the fire brigade department.

After the death of his only son Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Singh has been making all efforts to seek justice for his son. Balkaur Singh said although 33 arrests had been made, there was no justice until the main conspirators were arrested.
At a public meeting recently, Balkaur Singh alleged that the government was lax in arresting the main conspirators. He said people might forget the killing, he would always remember and would keep fighting for the justice.
Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was murdered on the evening of May 29 in Mansa's village. A day before the murder, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab had cut his security and withdrawn two gunmen.
