'Yehi raat antim, yehi raat bhari': Dramatic tension mounts as Wave Estate's Ramleela approaches epic battle

PTC Web Desk: 'Yehi raat antim, yehi raat bhari'. Mohali town is abuzz with anticipation as the eve of the grand Ramleela unfolds at Wave Estate, Sector 85, setting the stage for the climactic battle that will see the legendary hero Lord Rama take on the formidable demon king Ravana. 

Chairman of the Ramleela and Dussehra Committee, Sector 85, Mohali, Gajender Vashisht said the actors, who had been diligently performing their roles as divine characters for the past five days , were ready to bring the age-old epic, the Ramayana, to life one more time on Day 6, the day of 'Ravan Dahan' 


Dressed as Lord Rama, Sita, Laxman, and the 10-headed Ravana, they are all set deliver a mesmerising performance that captures the essence of the eternal battle of dharma.

Committee president Varun Vasudeva said the event would be presided over by Aashika Jain,  Deputy Commissioner, SAS Nagar. Heavy police force had been deployed to ensure law and order. 

Prior to Ravana Dehan at 5.56 pm sharp, 'puja' will be conducted at 4.34 pm. Following this, the stage will transform into the battlefield, where the battle lines are drawn, arrows will fly, and good will conquer evil.
