Sangrur hospital administers contaminated glucose, 15 pregnant women infected
PTC Web Desk: In a shocking medical lapse, nearly 15 pregnant women in the gynecology ward of a Sangrur hospital were infected after being administered contaminated glucose. The affected women, most of whom had already given birth, experienced severe complications following the administration of the faulty glucose drip.
According to Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Dr Baljeet, the condition of one of the women remains extremely critical. In response to the emergency, all affected women have been placed on oxygen support.
The incident has triggered panic and outrage among the families of the patients. Relatives are demanding accountability, while the hospital authorities are investigating the source of the contamination.
Medical teams are closely monitoring the condition of the affected women, and further action is expected as the investigation progresses.
