Sanjay Verma, co-owner of 'New Wear Well' showroom, shot dead outside his Abohar showroom; killers at large
PTC Web Desk: In a shocking incident that rocked Punjab’s Abohar city on Monday, well-known fashion designer and co-owner of "New Wear Well" showroom, Sanjay Verma, was shot dead in broad daylight right outside his store.
According to initial police reports and eyewitness accounts, three unidentified assailants on a motorcycle approached Sanjay Verma as he stepped out of his showroom and fired several rounds at close range. The sudden attack sent nearby shopkeepers and pedestrians scrambling for cover as panic swept through the busy marketplace.
Verma, critically injured in the attack, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting, and no arrests have been made so far. Police teams are scanning CCTV footage from the vicinity and have begun questioning local witnesses in an effort to trace the culprits. Police officials also reached the crime scene soon after the incident.
