Smuggling bid foiled: BSF, Punjab Police recover drone carrying drugs in Amritsar
PTC News Desk: In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab police foiled another narcotics smuggling attempt and recovered a drone carrying contraband drugs weighing approximately 3.242 kg near Amritsar's Rajatal village, according to the BSF Punjab Frontier.
On November 1, during the afternoon hours, a joint search operation was launched by the BSF and Punjab Police on the outskirts of Village Rajatal, District Amritsar, according to a statement from the BSF Punjab Frontier.
A medium quadcopter (in fully damaged condition) and three packets of contraband items suspected to be heroin weighing around 3.242 kg wrapped in yellow adhesive tape were recovered from a farming field adjacent to Village Rajatal during the search operation, the BSF added.
Earlier on Monday, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab police recovered a drone from the outskirts of Nestha village in Amritsar district in a joint operation.
During the search, an assembled quadcopter drone was recovered from a farming field near Nestha village.
