Sukhbir Singh Badal appears before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, seeks forgiveness
PTC News Desk: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib and sought forgiveness. The SAD chief was accompanied by former party ministers Daljit Singh Cheema, Gulzar Singh Ranike and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon.
Along with Sukhbir Singh Badal, the former minister also submitted their explanations.
On Friday, the Akal Takht Sahib declared Shiromani Akali Dal head Sukhbir Singh Badal ‘tankhaiya’.
Following this, the party stated that it accepts the edict and that its head and ministers would come before the Sikhs' highest temporal seat soon. In a video statement released on social media, the party's vice president, Daljit Singh Cheema, stated that the Akali Dal respectfully accepts the Akal Takht order. "As directed, the ministers and Sukhbir Singh Badal will appear before the Akal Takht. The ministers will provide an explanation as directed, and Sukhbir Saab will likewise follow," Cheema stated.
