Punjab Assembly Winter Session: Women’s Reservation Bill passed by Punjab Vidhan Sabha
On the second day of Punjab Assembly Winter Session, Punjab Vidhan Sabha passed a resolution calling for the reservation of one-third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies for women.

Earlier in aspect to it, Congress Chief, Rahul Gandhi had wrote a letter to Punjab CM. In the letter, Rahul Gandhi had seeked support of Captain Amarinder Singh to pass a resolution for the reservation of one-third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha for women in Punjab State assembly.

The Two day long Vidhan Sabha session commenced from December 13.
