Punjab CM mourns death of two in Chohla Sahib Mishap, ex-gratia of 4 lac announced

Chandigarh, March 23: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday mourned death of two people in a mishap at Chohla Sahib in Tarn Taran district and announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs 4 lakh each to next of kin of the deceased.

Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Bhagwant Mann directed the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police to immediately rush to the spot and oversee the relief operations.

The Chief Minister also announced ex-gratia grant worth Rs 4 Lakh each to next of the kin of deceased and free medical treatment for injured, if any. Meanwhile, condoling the death of two persons, Bhagwant Mann prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to family members to bear this irreparable loss.
