Punjab CM pays homage to Sri Guru Arjan Devi Ji on martyrdom Anniversary
Paying his tributes to Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji on the anniversary of his martyrdom, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday called upon the people to follow the 5th Sikh Guru’s ideals of humanity, secularism and universal brotherhood, whose relevance had remained unwavering through the ages.
In a message on the eve of the martyrdom anniversary, Captain Amarinder said that Guru ji’s supreme sacrifice was a perpetual source of inspiration for mankind and his spiritual philosophy would continue to guide humanity on the path of dharma (righteousness).
The Chief Minister said that Guru Arjan Dev ji’s contribution to the compilation of Adi Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and construction of Sri Harmandir Sahib at Amritsar would always be remembered by one and all. The values enshrined in this holy scripture and place remained deeply embedded in the psyche of the people, he added, exhorting them to ensure that the ideals propagated through them continue to guide mankind towards spiritual growth and elevation.
