Punjab Govt to set up Advisory Committee
Chandigarh, July 8: The Punjab government has decided to constitute an Advisory Committee for the policies of the public.
The committee will include chairman and members and it will advise the Government of State on matters of public importance pertaining to Public Administration as and when such advice is sought from it.

Following the news of the formation of an advisory committee, it has been suspected that Raghav Chadha could be made the chairman of the committee.
However, some opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. With this, the reins of Punjab will be in the hands of Raghav Chadha. Satveer Singh Walia, spokesperson of the Samyukta Samaj Morcha, said, "According to the committee that the Punjab government is going to set up, full control of Punjab will go to Delhi."
Apart from this, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also lashed out at the issue and said that this committee was being formed to take away the powers of Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister of Punjab.
He wants to take the whole government into his own hands. He appealed to the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann not to allow this decision to go unnoticed and not to allow Raghav Chadha and Arvind Kejriwal to seize power in Punjab.

The most talked-about member of this committee is Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha.
