Reopening of Schools in Punjab: In view of coronavirus cases being reported from schools in Punjab, the Education Department has decided to not organize cultural programmes for schoolchildren on Independence Day 2021. According to information, more than two dozen school children tested positive for coronavirus in Ludhiana. Thus, it has been decided that there will be no cultural programem for school children on Independence Day 2021. From Wednesday onwards, the school children will not go to Patiala polo ground to participate in the rehearsal of the cultural program. The order has also sought the list of teachers who have been given a dose of vaccine. A decision on whether or not they will be called to school will be made on Wednesday.
