Punjab polls: Cong MLAs Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa, Balwinder Laddi switch to BJP
Congress leaders Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa and Balwinder Singh Laddi joined BJP in the presence of Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Balwinder Singh Laddi is MLA from Shri Hargobindpur Sahib Assembly Constituency. Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa is MLA from Qadian. On the other hand, former cricketer Dinesh Mongia joined Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi.

Despite assurance by PPCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu regarding the ticket, Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa and Balwinder Laddi decided to leave the party and join Bharatiya Janta Party.
It is pertinent to mention that Qadian MLA Fateh Jang Bajwa's brother Pratap Singh Bajwa had announced that he will contest from Qadian only. However, the statement was not condemned by any of the Congress leaders.
This year BJP has joined hands with Punjab Lok Congress to contest Punjab elections. Recently, Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi had resigned from the Congress party and joined BJP.
BJP is leaving no stone unturned to make an impact in the poll-bound state. Punjab Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in early 2022.
