Mohali, June 29: Punjab is once again seeing an uptick in Covid 19 cases. For the first time in three months, 202 patients were found coronavirus positive in the 24 hours while one death was reported from Ludhiana.

At present, 35 Covid19 patients in Punjab are on life saving support. The positivity rate has touched 1.81%. On Tuesday, 11,182 coronavirus sample were taken. The active caseload stands at 984. Amid Covid surge, Punjab issues fresh guidelines; details here Besides Ludhiana and Mohali, Bathinda and Jalandhar are now turning Covid hotspots. The coronavirus situation in Ludhiana and Mohali continues to remain worrisome. As many as 64 persons were found infected in Mohali on Tuesday with a positivity rate of 9.25%. Jalandhar reported 18 new cases with a positivity rate of 1.28%. In Patiala, 17 persons tested Covid positive. 24 patients on oxygen, 1 ventilator In Punjab, 24 patients have been put on oxygen support out of 35 patients who have reached life saving support. As many as 10 patients have been shifted to ICU. On Tuesday, one patient from Bathinda and three from Ludhiana were sent to the ICU. In Bathinda, a patient was shifted on ventilator.
