SAD expels DSGMC chief Harmeet Singh Kalka over 'anti-party' activities
Chandigarh, March 16: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has expelled Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Harmeet Singh Kalka for raising a banner of revolt against party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.
As per information, Harmeet Singh Kalka had announced the formation of a religious party and said he along with other leaders and members represented the Delhi unit of the SAD.

Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, SAD spokesperson Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra said party president Sukhbir Badal had dissolved the Delhi unit of the party and formed an ad hoc committee under Avtar Singh Hit to run the party affairs.
Later, SAD leader Dr Daljit S Cheema took to Twitter and said," SAD President S Sukhbir S Badal also included the names of senior leaders S MPS Chadha & S Gurpreet Singh Jassa in the adhoc committee announced today to run the affairs of SAD in Delhi."
Addressing a press conference, senior party leaders Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Dr Daljit Singh Cheema and Sikandar Singh Maluka said Harmeet Singh Kalka and his colleagues had created a wall between Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib by violating the principle of Miri-Piri. “The Sikh quom (community) will never tolerate this act,” they said.

Prof Chandumajra said Kalka and his group had also betrayed the ‘sangat’ of Delhi by their act. “They were elected to the DSGMC on the symbol of the SAD. Their mandate is to serve the community as per the DSGMC Act of 1971. If they want to serve as independent members they should resign and seek re-election,” he added.
