WhatsApp, Instagram down globally! Users unable to log in
PTC News Desk: WhatsApp and Instagram are down! Meta-owned services have been inaccessible for several users worldwide since around 11.45 p.m. IST Wednesday.
Users trying to log in to the Apps or WhatsApp web (the browser version) received an error message stating that the service was currently unavailable.
On Instagram, some users were unable to refresh their feeds or see the most recent Stories.
Downdetector, a popular website that monitors web outages, reported a surge in users reporting problems while attempting to use WhatsApp and Instagram. This is the second outage this year for Meta-owned platforms.
