Amritsar, August 27: Ahead of first Parkash Utsav of Guru Granth Sahib, Golden Temple is being decorated with different kinds of flowers.
Hundreds types of flowers from the country and abroad were brought to decorate Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.

Hunderds of quintals of different kinds of flowers worth Rs 4-5 crore imported from the Netherlands, Thailand and Singapore, besides Kolkata, New Delhi were being used to embellish the walls of the shrine.
Around 300 artisans also arrived from Delhi, Mumbai to complete the decoration.
Around 10 truck loads of flowers have been arranged for decorating the shrine complex. Some of these flowers have a shelf life of 15 days to six months.
