PTC Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially confirmed Apollo Tyres as the new jersey sponsor of the Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams, with the partnership extending until March 2028. The agreement comes in the wake of Dream11’s exit, after the government imposed a ban on betting-linked applications under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025.

In its announcement, the BCCI described the tie-up with Apollo Tyres as a “landmark partnership,” noting that this is the tyre manufacturer’s first major entry into Indian cricket. The brand’s logo will appear on Team India jerseys across formats, replacing Dream11.

The financial terms of the agreement make it one of the most lucrative sponsorships in Indian cricket history. Apollo Tyres will pay Rs 4.5 crore per match, higher than Dream11’s earlier Rs 4 crore. Over the course of the contract, which spans 121 bilateral games and 21 ICC events, the deal is valued at approximately Rs 579 crore, compared to Dream11’s three-year deal worth Rs 358 crore.

Welcoming Apollo Tyres on board, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said, “The arrival of Apollo Tyres as our new sponsor is a testament to the hard work and consistent performance of our teams. This is more than a commercial agreement; it’s a partnership between two institutions that have earned the trust and respect of millions.”

BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla also highlighted the competitive bidding process, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Apollo Tyres as our new lead sponsor. This partnership brings together two powerful legacies—Indian cricket and Apollo Tyres. It will drive mutual growth and strengthen the global appeal of Team India.”

The BCCI had been without a shirt sponsor during the Asia Cup in Dubai after the Indian government banned real-money gaming platforms, including Dream11. The legislation prohibits companies from advertising or promoting online money gaming services.

Headquartered in Gurugram, Apollo Tyres operates manufacturing facilities in India and abroad, including in Europe. With this sponsorship, the company gains access to unprecedented global visibility, aligning itself with a sport that resonates with millions of fans worldwide.
