BCCI announces Senior Men Selection Committee appointments; Chetan Sharma to remain chairman
Mumbai (Maharashtra), January 7: The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday undertook an extensive process for selecting members of the All-India Senior Selection Committee.
Following its advertisement on its official website on November 18, 2022, the Board received approximately 600 applications.
The CAC selected 11 people for personal interviews after careful deliberation and consideration. Based on the interviews, the Committee recommended for the Senior Men's National Selection Committee outgoing chief selector Chetan Sharma, Shiv Sundar Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, and Sridharan Sharath.
The committee also proposed Chetan Sharma as chairman of the senior men's selection committee.
In December, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the appointment of a three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) to elect the selection committee, which included former India cricketers Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjape, and Sulakshana Naik.
