Delhi Capitals batter Sarfaraz Khan ties knot with Kashmiri girl
Sarfaraz Khan wedding: Countless engagements and weddings are all taking place in Indian Premier League (IPL).
Earlier, CSK’s player Ruturaj Gaikwad had also tied the knot with his girlfriend Utkarsha Pawar. KL Rahul also tied knot to his long-time girlfriend Athiya Shetty this year and Tushar Deshpande also got engaged to his "school crush" Nabha Gaddamwar in Mumbai.
Recently, Indian wicketkeeper and batsman of Delhi Capitals Sarfaraz Khan joined the club and tied the knot with Shopian girl of Jammu and Kashmir.
Videos shared on various social media platforms, showed Khan, who plays for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy and for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), dressed in a black sherwani.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Sarfaraz Khan dropped the beautiful picture with his better half and wrote, “Alhamdulillah married.”
Several fans and Indian cricketers expressed their heartwarming wishes and blessings to the couple.
Suryakumar Yadav replied on the post writing “ Kya baat hai bahut bahut badhai.”
Saheem khan wrote, “Mubarak bhai.”
Mandeep Singh wrote, “Mashallah”
Tilak Varma also congratulated the newlywed couple.
Virat Kohli also congratulated the couple.
Talking to the media, Sarfaraz said, “The Almighty had decided that it was my destiny to get married in Kashmir. I have received a lot of love here and whenever I have time I will visit here.”
Sarfaraz at the age of 25 boasts an impressive track record of playing 39 First-Class matches, accumulating 3559 runs with a remarkable highest score of 301. His batting average stands at an impressive 74.14. Additionally, his T20 statistics include 88 matches, with 1124 runs at a striking strike rate of 128.89.
In the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy season, Sarfaraz scored 556 runs with an impressive average of 92.66. He has also bagged three centuries in 6 matches. The Mumbai batter was the leading run-scorer in the year 2022 where he had struck 982 runs with an average of 122.75 in six test matches. He had four hundred under his belt.
