PTC News Desk: Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, known for his pivotal role as an Indian cricket captain, shared insights on his cricket journey during a recent appearance on a reality show. Ganguly, who formed a formidable opening partnership with Sachin Tendulkar, reflected on the qualities he admires in Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni.

When asked about the one quality he would take from each of them, Ganguly responded, "Sachin's greatness, Virat's aggressiveness, and Dhoni's calmness." He also highlighted his own unique trait when questioned about a quality he possesses that the trio doesn't, stating, "adjustment."

The audience applauded Ganguly's response, recognizing the significance of adaptability in the dynamic world of cricket. The former Kolkata Knight Riders skipper's career spanned 311 ODIs and 113 Tests, accumulating impressive runs and showcasing an aggressive batting style. Notably, he captained India in the 2003 ODI World Cup, reaching the final against Australia.

Ganguly, who concluded his tenure as BCCI president in October 2022, expressed support for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's inclusion in India's T20I World Cup squad. He affirmed, "Of course, Rohit should captain the team in the T20I World Cup. Virat Kohli also should be there."

Having scored 22 centuries and 72 half-centuries in ODIs, along with one double century, 16 tons, and 35 half-centuries in Tests, Ganguly remains a cricket icon. His impact extends to the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he played 59 matches, amassing 1349 runs with seven half-centuries.

As Ganguly shared his insights and reflections, the cricketing community applauded his enduring contributions to the sport and his unique qualities that set him apart on and off the field.
