Glen Maxwell & Vini embrace Indian traditions with heartwarming baby shower ceremony
New Delhi, July 28: Australian cricketer Glen Maxwell and his wife Vini Maxwell are eagerly anticipating parenthood, and their family recently hosted a traditional baby shower, known as "Valaikaappu," for Vini. She shared pictures of the heartwarming ceremony on Instagram.
One of the photos showcased Vini's bangles, which were part of the bangle ceremony. In another picture, she looked radiant in a turquoise blue-toned silk saree. Vini also shared a picture with Glen, who wore a grey kurta for the occasion.
Captioned as "Blessing baby Maxwell the traditional way #valaikappuceremony #bangleceremony," the post received numerous likes and comments.
Social media users praised the couple for embracing Tamil traditions. One comment read, "The way you follow the Tamil tradition. May God bless you three," while another user called it "so wholesome."
Glen and Vini announced their pregnancy joyfully on May 11. Vini Raman shared in an Instagram post, "Glenn & I are ecstatic to announce our rainbow baby is due September 2023." She also expressed empathy for others facing fertility challenges or loss, as she had personally experienced the difficulties on her journey to motherhood.
The couple tied the knot on March 27, 2022, in an intimate ceremony that blended both Hindu and Christian traditions.
