India's dominating 5-wicket win against Pakistan after 41 years, clinches Asia Cup 2025 title
PTC News Desk: In a high-voltage final clash after 41 years, India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets and carved its way to clinch the Asia Cup 2025 Title with seemingly dominating batting.
Tilak Varma rose to the occasion and played his best innings yet, guiding India to a thrilling win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday. His unbeaten 69 off 53 balls helped India chase down 147 with two balls to spare, giving them their second Asia Cup T20 title. He shared a crucial 60-run stand with Shivam Dube, who hit a quick 33 off 22 balls.
Earlier, India bowled out Pakistan for 146 after a strong start from Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46). The duo added 84 runs in less than 10 overs, but India’s spinners—Kuldeep Yadav (4/30), Varun Chakaravarthy (2/30), and Axar Patel (2/26)—triggered a collapse, with Pakistan losing nine wickets for just 33 runs.
This was India’s third win against Pakistan in the tournament, following victories in the league stage and Super 4s.
