Paris Olympics 2024: Ramita Jindal enters final of Women's 10m Air Rifle shooting
Paris Olympics 2024: Ramita Jindal qualified for the medal round in the Women's 10m Air Rifle on Sunday.
Ramita became only the second female shooter in the last 20 years to go to the medal round, following Manu Bhaker. Ramita is the first Indian female rifle shooter to reach the Olympic finals since her teacher Suma Shirur (2004 in Athens).
Meanwhile, Ramita's compatriot, Elavenil Valarivan, finished 10th and missed qualification by two places after struggling in the last series.
Ramita finished with a total of 631.5 points, trailing Korea's Hyojin Ban (1st with 634.4), Norway's Jeanette Hegg Duestad (2nd with 633.2), Swiss Shooter Audrey Gogniat (3rd with 632.6), and China's Yuting Huang (4th with 632.6).
