Virat Kohli's doppelganger mobbed in Ayodhya ceremony: Video goes viral

PTC News Desk: A video capturing the excitement of fans mobbing a Virat Kohli lookalike during the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya has gone viral on social media. While Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma were invited but did not attend the event, a crowd gathered around the Kohli doppelganger, eager to take selfies and catch a glimpse of the uncanny resemblance.

In contrast, Kohli opted out of the first two Tests against England, citing personal reasons that demand his "undivided attention," according to a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The BCCI urged fans and media not to speculate on the exact reasons for Kohli's break and assured that a replacement for the star batter would be named soon.

"Virat Kohli has requested the BCCI to be withdrawn from the first two Tests of the upcoming IDFC First Bank Test series against England, citing personal reasons," stated BCCI secretary Jay Shah. The decision was communicated to captain Rohit Sharma, the team management, and selectors, emphasising Kohli's commitment to personal priorities.
