Following the dismissal, which was caught by Australian fielder Steve Smith, Australian bowler Scott Boland dismissed Ravindra Jadeja.
WTC Final 2023: Australia vs India
Australia on Sunday won the ICC World Test Championship Final by defeating India by 209 runs at The Oval. Pat Cummins' men had handed India a huge 444-run mark to chase on Saturday.
With this, Australia has become the first team to win all major ICC titles. Australia bagged the ODI World Cup in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015. They also won the ICC Champions Trophy in consecutive years in 2006 and 2009.
Meanwhile, India suffered their fourth defeat in an ICC final since winning the Champions Trophy in England in 2013. India also finished second in the 2014 T20 World Cup, the 2017 Champions Trophy, and the previous WTC edition in 2021.
