Sukhbir, Harsimrat Badal greet nation on National Voters Day
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Saturday extend greetings to the nation on National Voters Day.
Sukhbir Singh Badal took to twitter and wrote: "On the occasion of National Voters Day, I appeal to everyone to perform our duty towards our nation by enrolling ourselves in the voters list. Your vote is your voice."
Likewise, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said in a tweet: "Greetings on the National Voters Day! I urge everyone, particularly youngsters, to register themselves as a voter to help strengthen our democracy with their participation. Your vote is your service to the nation."
Meanwhile, senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia said, "John F Kennedy has put it aptly - the ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all. On National Voters Day I appeal to all the voters, not to waste their right of voting. Be responsible, vote judiciously!"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that "Greetings on National Voters Day. We express gratitude to ECI for their many efforts towards making our electoral process more vibrant and participative. May this day inspire us to work towards increased voter awareness and turnout, which makes our democracy stronger."
