Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Sultanpur Lodhi constituency is located in the Kapurthala district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Navtej Singh Cheema from Congress won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Sultanpur Lodhi. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Shiromani Akali Dal's Upinderjit Kaur with a margin of 8,162 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,40,488. 188 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,08,258 votes were cast in the Sultanpur Lodhi constituency and the percentage was 77.06%, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Sajjan Singh Cheema, Shiromani Akali Dal's Upinderjit Kaur and Congress' Navtej Singh Cheema were MLA candidates for Sultanpur Lodhi constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Navtej Singh Cheema (Congress) grabbed 41843 votes, runner up Upinderjit Kaur (SAD) managed to get 33,681 votes and Sajjan Singh Cheema (AAP) received 28,017 votes.
