Punjab: BSF shoots down Pakistani drone, near int’l border in Amritsar sector
Chandigarh, March 28: The Border Security Force (BSF) on late Monday night shot down a drone in the Amritsar sector and seized a packet containing contraband from Rajatal Border Outpost of Amritsar sector.
"On March 27, at about 8.30 pm, BSF troops deployed along the Indo-Pakistan boundary detected a drone intrusion from Pakistan in the area of Rajatal Border Outpost of Amritsar sector," a BSF officer said.

According to sources, the drone was fired by BSF upon and counter-drone measures taken. Eventually, on Tuesday morning during the search operation the Border Security Force recovered a white bag along with a black-coloured drone approximately 700 meters from the International Border and 350 metres from the border fence.
As per to the report, the bag was examined and the BSF troops found a huge packet with yellow adhesive tape and a small torch were found, the officer added. Further investigations are in progress. Later, BSF had seized over 6 kg of narcotics that were dropped by a drone in the Amritsar sector on Sunday night, along with an abandoned motorcycle.
